Well that was predictably turgid v Brazil. And no player had his collar up to cover the playfully updated flag.
Not much more to be hoped for v Belgium on Tuesday. Wales v Poland might be a better watch as at least there's some jeopardy on it.

From the little I saw and heard Brazil could've scored a few more. Ah well, a week of Southgate bashing here we come.

Re: England Friendlies
They could have. Can't remember a decent England chance. And Southgate's subs were again too little too late.

Re: England Friendlies
It’s hard to get excited about any friendly, the refs let too much go and it creates a bit of a false type of game. Paqueta should have been sent off about 3 times. England created little.

Agreed. It's a friendly, nobody will remember it in a couple of months' time.

Still too leaden footed in defence, still not enough creativity in midfield and upfront without Kane, no one else is a reliable goalscorer.
Plus, Bellingham is a red card waiting to happen if he isn't controlling games.

Harsh, he was clearly targeted and fouled out of the game.black_guardian wrote: ↑Sun Mar 24, 2024 5:05 am Still too leaden footed in defence, still not enough creativity in midfield and upfront without Kane, no one else is a reliable goalscorer.

Re: England Friendlies
Refresh my memory ... according to the tS pundits before the game HOW many of the Brazil team would get into the England squad? None, was it?

I fucking did. He should never have been given the keys and once we least to Croatia in the World Cup he should’ve been sent packing. The Ghost of Alex Higgins wrote:Henners called this bastard day one. Complete gimp, totally fucking clueless.

Re: England Friendlies
I can't think of a less likely choice for LIverpool.
No fit whatsoever.
More generally, if Southgate wants to be a club manager, why has he been content to manage a national side for 6 years?
As far as this team is concerned, it looks vulnerable on the left. Chilwell is not England class.
