Re: Car insurance
Yep, mine doubled as well. Got them down but not by much. Other company's the same.

Re: Car insurance
Some of the the things I have read online seem to refer to companies covering losses from fake claims which has been on the rise.

Re: Car insurance
I think there have always been those...increased cost of everything nowadays including parts, labour & energy. There's also a bit of an epidemic of luxury car thefts, especially Range Rovers. I was wondering why most of them around me had steering locks, turns out they are or were quite easy to nick and there's a ready market for them and their parts abroad.
I suppose you could call that a Brexit win.

Re: Car insurance
My youngest son aged 19 passed his test 2 weeks ago, he's seen plenty of cars he can afford to buy, but the cheapest insurance has been around £5K with black box or app checking driving behaviour and mileage, or it's £8k+
He is working full time but on minimum wage, don't know how we can get around it and help him, since passing his test he's over eager to drive.

Re: Car insurance
I don't know what the answer is, for the first time they actually checked my penalty record and it cost me another £150 after they found out I had 3pts and I've had no claims for over 30 years. Pick the lowest insurance band vehicle, grab a few registrations from the AutoTrader website and test a few comparison websites.

I've had 49 claim free years and it still keeps going up.
