I don't need to think Birmingham, I live in the LBB, which was virtually bankrupted by Labour, resuscitated when the Conservatives were voted back in, and now is in terminal decline now the Conservatives lost the majority.

Have a look at the list of councils expected to "go into bankruptcy" this year.
Most of them are Tory or independent-controlled.
