Not sure how much far left stuff there is in Labour these days.
Not sure how much far right in the Tories, either, given that most of them fucked off to join UKIP/Brexit/Reform party etc, although the demonising of immigrants has echoes of the far right
They'll soon be crawling out of the woodwork when Labour win the next election. The Tories are definitely a more central party these days imo.

They've won some die hard tory constituencies and are running them scared in the south west of England. The attractive alternative is undoubtedly there.

Again, it's more to do with the Tories being shite. If they don't want Labour, it's really the only other option.

And the Lib Dems are giving them an attractive alternative.

Sunak just banned policies no one is suggesting. He's lost his mind.

Sunak was warned years ago that the target date for electrice cars and no more gas boilers was a farce. Looks like he may well have finally realised the reason for that. Yet another example of stupidity and incompetence.

The electric car thing is doable. Given he's only moved the date five years I'm not sure what benefit he's pretending to deliver.

Not sure people will vote Tory based solely on the fact they'll be able to buy a petrol car for an extra five years.

i just don't see how the very people who purport to care for the environment and human rights fell for the whole scam, which is of course, ongoing

It's the whole enviro shebang, I'm sure a bit of research told them pulling back a bit or being seen to would appeal.
