What are these morons on. The plan is working.
Defending the Conservative's general election chances, Mr Harper said there was still "all to play for" in a general election and insisted the government's plan "is working".

Dear old mama hasn't bothered to renew her passport, never had a drivers licence so used her bus pass as it's acceptable photo ID.
Maybe she's born with it, maybe it's Maybelline.

After the election watching the Tories is going to be comical.

That too, but watching the Tories trying to go right of Reform is going to be popcorn worthy. The Ghost of Alex Higgins wrote: ↑Sun May 05, 2024 6:59 pm

So desperate were the London Tories... When they heard the turnout was higher in the outer boroughs, they bombarded client journalists with messages that the Mayoral election was on a knife edge.
By the time those pieces went live, Khan had totally crushed Susan Hall, whose graceless concession speech made her look even worse than her Twitter feed could have done in a week

Yep. Plenty of "rumours..." tweets from Tories that haven't aged well.black_guardian wrote: ↑Sun May 05, 2024 10:23 pm So desperate were the London Tories... Totally sub, and the fact that Ben Houchen won actually means fuck all. That guy's corruption, and the way he tried to shut down the Private Eye investigation into freeports, will surely come back to haunt him. Yet they seem to laud him as the next messiah?!subsub wrote: ↑Sun May 05, 2024 10:33 pmYep. Re: The Tory Gov Bullshit thread - Part 4
The Natalie Elphicke story is weird to me and it's being made out by the Tories to be a Labour problem. As I understand the claim is:
1. Charlie Elphicke her former husband was convicted of being a creep to woman and he was jailed and oddly Nat was selected unopposed to replace him.
2. Once elected she then lobbied Robert Buckland who was both Lord Chancellor and Justice Secretary. As Lord Chancellor he was responsible for making sure the courts worked properly. She's now accused, four years later, of lobbying for his trail to be changed. Buckland said nothing at the time.
3. Parliament then had an investigation into Sir Roger Gale, Theresa Villiers and Natalie Elphicke who where suspended for lobbying the Judge in her husbands trial.
4. Buckland didn't say much at the time, but now they've leaked the story that the Times but Buckland won't speak publicly.
And this is a Labour problem why?

It's certainly "odd" that the tories never complained about her while she was one of them and are only now "realising" that she's probably a wrong 'un.
Labour shouldn't have embraced her however.

Is it possible for Labour to kick her out? That’d be hilarious.

She's not standing for re-election. Kicking her out would backfire on Labour at this point.
She'll stay on as a Labour party member post-election and aim to get some sort of consultancy/advisor role. Best to kick her out at that point.

I guess so but it looks like the attempted own by the Tories hasn't worked out that well. She's not standing again, has no standing in the Labour party and they seem to have put Buckland in the firing line to say something publicly.
