The other day that phlegmy cunt Carragher said that ELL EFF SEE is the only club where the manager (not specifically Der Kraut) is special and the fans will always back them.chelseachelsea wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2024 6:14 pmIf I'm being kind I'd say you're re writing history, if I'm being honest I'd say you're lying to fit your narrative.Sunbeam Alpine wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2024 5:29 pmHodgson didn't get booed

Except Roy Evans and Houllier.
And Roy Hodgson of course.
Oh, yeah, and Rodgers when he stopped winning.
Should probably mention Souness and Dalglish as well.
And Benitez when it became clear he wasn’t going to get one over on Fergie.
But apart from all those exceptions to the rule…

You’re probably right Subs. It was more relative to what they paid for each and the return they have got. Suspect if Klopp was staying he may well have been looking for an upgrade as he does miss too many chances but then so many do these days. There is a dearth of top quality numbers 9’s.subsub wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2024 3:49 pmI wouldn't say that Nunez is 'terrible', Jonn-o.Jonathan wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2024 1:36 pmCome on, even the best will have bad buys. For every Grealish and Philips just look at Rhodri, De Byrne, Walker. Klopp has done the same. Salah great, Nunez terrible and cost a huge amount more. That’s football and will always happen.Sunbeam Alpine wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2024 10:27 amI was judging the managers against not only can they carry on an already-staffed side, but can they build one from lower down?Jonathan wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2024 8:47 amNo, he got sacked after the last game of his second season, at Everton strangely, and was replaced by AVB. Away from the riches of Chelsea he didn't do much for Everton.
He got out of Everton at the 1st opportunity, due to Farhad Moshiri running of the club, and with hindsight you can't blame him.
TBF unlikely anyone could have succeeded at Everton.
Much as I like Ancelotti he inherited a stable paid for by RA and duly won with it. How that came to an end isn't the point. Much like Guardiola; we don't know how really good he is because he has moved between Barca, Bayern and City and never had to build a side . At City he has been able to add to his group aided by the shall-we-say generous accounting arrangements. Paying what he did for Grealish and Philips, you'd have to wonder.
At Everton he inherited a poor group, and didn't achieve any change. In fact Marco Silva did better there than he did.
To suggest Pep isn’t a great manager is a bit daft. He rebuilt that City team
He is a little wasteful in front of goal but his stats are still decent.

Sorry Poch, you were wrong, but I can see why you weren't happy. The MOTD clowns were also wrong.
Badiashile's push on Carlos was both clear and intentional, preventing the latter heading the ball.
What was another mighty fuck up, was the way the correct decision was arrived at. Because dickhead Pawson missed the infringement (fuck knows how), play continued and the ball ended up in the Villa net. Therefore, what you had, was a Chelsea team and a Chelsea bench thinking they had scored the winner, and then being deprived of it.
If Pawson had identified the foul and blown up, play would have stopped, free kick would have been taken and play continued.
These referees need to spend their entire summer working out why they are a bunch of cunts and doing something about it come August.

Your unconditional support and defence of anything to do with Liverpool, is somewhat childish and nauseating, not to mention pathetic.

It’s pretty straightforward, he’s a fucking liar.
And the one thing liars hate is being challenged on their lies, hence the first instinct is to attack anybody with the audacity to do so.

And your never-ending negativity seems "childish and nauseating". What kicked this off was your wrong assertion, with no facts, about where Liverpool fans reside. So why do it?
And no I was a regular at Anfield during the Souness and Dalglish reigns ( both of those) and we didn't boo either them or their teams. No, not lies. That's what you trade in Sadact.
Ever listen to 606? For years, every week, we've heard snivelling Scum fans attack manager after manager.Moyes, Mourinho, Solskjaer, Van Haal, Rangnick.. and now Ten Hag .And to be fair, they've been supported. More than double what Klopp had to spend. The Chelsea fans can hardly get on air with time to attack their own manager.
It's laughable the shite you throw and then act all offended when you get some back.
By the way not only was it Pellegrini who signed De Bruyne, but he got the chance because a certain Guardiola rejected him for Bayern.

Re: The Premier League - Season 2023/24
Perhaps, Zambo, with your refereeing wisdom which enabled you at Liverpool-Brighton to see through players' bodies, you could explain to me....
Yesterday WH-Liv second half Liverpool attacked and Areola believed they had committed a foul in the build-up. So when he got the ball he rolled it in front of him as if to take a free-kick. But Taylor had no given a foul and Gakpo ran on intending to hit the loose ball into the net. THEN Taylor whistled for some unknown reason, picked up the ball and rolled it to Areola. Any idea?
