Two trips?

Did you not realise just how fucking awful it was on your first trip?

John O'Groats is what it is. A shite hole. It knows it's a shit hole but doesn't try to pretend otherwise.
Lands End is also a shit hole but is trying it's hardest to pretend it isn't a shit hole.

You'd have been much better going to Cape Cornwall. It's glorious and just a little further up the coast from Lands End but no where near as many touristy type cunts.
I didn’t find it too bad really. Wife wanted to go so walked along the coast. There are things to do, but each to their own. I don’t think it’s that much of a shithole.

I was advised not to bother with Land's End, but if you ignore the commercialised shite, it's excellent imo.

Well indeed. Didn’t see much commercialisation of it, there was a stage there and cheap eating places but they can be avoided. Saw the sun go down beneath the horizon and it was impressive.

Stayed in Marazion. Visited Lands End (pfffffftttt) Cape Cornwall, Minack Theartre, Eden Project, the village of Fowey and also Charlestown. Avoid the super buys placed like St Ives and Newquay.

Would like to go back down but as mentioned it's a shit of a drive. Think it's close to 9 hours door to door provided no traffic issues.

When we went we drove across from Southampton and it took about 6 hours. From the moment we hit the A30 in Devon it was nose to tail caravan cunts. Counted at least 3 of them which had turned over between Devon and Cornwall.
Apparently, it's horrendous in the South West at the moment. Everywhere is overcrowded; full of annoying tourists and parents with brattish kids. The locals hate it.

The people that run businesses can be quite rude too. Went to a nice cafe in St Ives, ordered some food, popped out. Came back and Mrs L wanted to leave. We went back in and the owner kicked off telling us we were “wandering around not wearing masks”. She didn’t seem to take exception to others. What annoys me is that businesses have taken a hit in the county due to Covid yet they seem to have an entitlement and think that they should only have a ‘certain type’ of customer from certain parts of the country.

I mean hello! If they don’t like having to deal with providing decent customer care, then being in the retail industry may not suit them. Ice cream shops where they take twenty minutes to put a scoop of ice cream and sauce sauce in a cone, really.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience.

It was OK really. Just an unpleasant woman but majority of people I spoke to were genuinely lovely people who deserved a lift after what’s been a devastating time for them. Nice to see things open again. I know what you’re saying though, clogged up roads and bawling scamps can be annoying.

💛
All of us encounter unpleasant people throughout our lives: in restaurants, at work, on holidays, while shopping, while driving. Everywhere. That's life, I guess.
