There are plenty of ways to identify a person within a television studio audience. By row or column seat positioning, or attire. There's never been reference to audience member by "white man" so no need to do it with "black man".

Yep plenty of ways, and if those ways are factual then there should be no problem. However, due to the ridiculous level of over scrutiny and over sensitivity, people find themselves needing to apologise for making totally innocent observations, and if they don't they find themselves suspended and or cancelled.

Factual, but irrelevant. People don't need to be singled out on the basis of skin colour. It's as straight forward as that. Those who suggest otherwise have questionable motives.

Identify someone, single them out. Same thing. Race/skin colour wasn't necessary to do so. Fiona made the mistake of doing it, and rightly apologised therefore drawing a line under the matter.
