Sir Keir Starmer makes his debut as Labour Leader today , sadly only against Raab. Should be a giggle.

Yep, will be pretty tame, probably.
Still, good that Labour look like they're starting to get their act together.
About time this Govt had a proper Opposition.

How tall is Starmer? I heard he’s about 5’4” but this has been removed from Google. You cannot find any evidence of his height.birdie wrote:Yup, Starmer is enough to make an Angel weep.AlcoholBrazil wrote:Sir Keir Starmer makes his debut as Labour Leader today , sadly only against Raab. Biceps Size 18 inches

They probably have the chest and waist sizes the wrong way round, and why anyone would ask and give a biceps size unless they are a boxer, I've no idea

Raab looked very unconvincing and fell over his words a lot.

They will when the working class get a party that represents them.

I doubt I'll be voting Labour ever but good luck to him about time the UK government is held to account.

Be interesting if there is a battle over a public inquiry. We're probably going to top 20,000 dead and sadly over 100 NHS and care workers in that number. I'm sure the number 10 spin machine is already working an attack line about how Labour is trying to politicise the dead but I don't think any reasonable person of any political persuasion wouldn't want a transparent public inquiry into what happened here.

If you were the government and involved in this shambles, you can't defend it. So you declare it's political opportunism.

Re: Sir Keir Starmer
It's certainly been an all round fuck up and we should review all sorts of things such as the actual functional efficiency of the NHS, the abysmal standard of policing and the reduction in numbers of the armed forces.
The dumbing down of the public and emasculation of individuals might have suited some people who wanted a nanny state but we can see the disadvantages when they can't remember the very simple guidelines ,still less take sensible precautions of their own volition.
Most of all we need to get rid of a system of government which results in nonentities gaining cabinet positions. I've often commented here that there's no one in either political party who you'd trust to run a chip shop , and we've seen the tragic proof of this as we drift like a rudderless ship through turbulent seas.
If you think Dianne Abbot and Jeremy Corbyn would be doing any better I think you'd be kidding yourself .
It's time to start appointing people who DO THEIR JOBS in government and all these public services instead of talking nonsense and being politically correct.
