Nice of the bbc and itv to spoil the World Cup experience by having rubbish female players giving their opinions. It’s bad enough having to listen to Shearer and Ferdinand . At least itv have Roy Keane

All down to quotas again. Ability and experience are not considered. Questions on the application sheet apart from which sex are you, will include, are you attracted to men or women, are you over 30, are you white, asian, black or of another race, do you need an interpreter.

Saw the one on the highlights show last night on BBC1. The great VAR debate.
The female said " Half the people will think it was a penalty, and half the people will not ".

Yep......Thanks for that input . Very informative.

Sky seem to bang on a lot about women and sport these days. Now even have one in the commentary box for men’s test matches.

Peter Odemwingie is a pundit over here. Speaks fluent Russian, incredibly, on account of growing up in Tashkent.

You’re talking about male pundits though. What about female pundits which is what your thread is about? :?

The ones I’ve seen are OK, and a couple of them are very good.

A lot of the male pundits are utter shit, and offer no insight at all.

Don’t like female commentators - not because of what they say, but because of the voice.

What is the fucking point of Dixon exactly? He's fucking shit. And you're right, he is a sarky little cunt. Adds absolutely no insight whatsoever.

There is a woman on Gillette Soccer Special right now, she was on last night as well, and I have to say I think she is quite excellent.

Better than Merson, Big Nose Thompson, Le Tissier etc.

Not a huge fan of female pundits but the dinosaurs they replace are thick dinosaurs with no ability and piss poor verbal communication. The women however are well educated, articulate, well turned out and good lookers.

Surely employment should be solely based on the best person ability wise, to do the job.

You’re telling me that Merson’s a high quality pundit even though he can barely string two sentences together? That he played the game as the only qualifier for the job doesn’t cut it with me. Every other job has adapted where people actually need qualifications to work on them, why can’t football punditry move with the times?
