Here's an unkind analysis for Sturridge.
His best season for LFC was when we came second, and he was alongside Suarez and Sterling.
Suarez, even when he didn't score, ran defenders ragged. Sturridge and Sterling benefited from the distraction.
Once Suarez was gone, Sturridge realised he didn't have it in him to step up.

Got it in 1 Hillman but also he secured 150k a week contract on the back of that season thus making it easier not to play rather than earn his big bucks.

That is why Liverpool are so disillusioned with him but they should have known.

I suppose after the Anelka and Berahino saga's being played out in public in recent years why should I be surprised at the happening's at the Albion. It's the Premiership disease - too much money.

There has been an erosion of discipline seeping in at the club for quite a while now, culminating in this debacle of a season.

Lack of desire from millionaire footballers, some of whom face no consequences for their criminal behaviour. You can do what you want as long as you are rich and famous, so why should they bother or care. Self-indulged millionaires.

It may have gone unnoticed due to Barcelona-gate, but Albion had their 'night of the long knives' two weeks ago when the owner purged most of the top brass at the club. A clear indication things are being run poorly and a positive step by Lai Guochuan. Something needed to be done, even if it's too late for this season.

Time to reboot in the Championship. Cleanse the club's soul.
