Danny Kwelly was saying he was being careful about what he said not realising he had been dumped 5 minutes earlier as he spouted on about Liverpool FC tapping up Van Dijk

I've not listened to much of it, because generally talking about sport is quite tedious, but I was surprised at just how dull the bits I heard were.

I don't doubt it's a vast improvement on lots of other tS shows, but there has to be better ways to spend a Saturday night than listening to 3 hours of this.

A decade ago on Saturday evening you'd get this, which I did always listen to from start to end each weekend.

But is it fun or is it just decent sports punditry? Because the latter is dull for me, however intelligently done it is.

It might be better than the forced fun of The Sports Bar or Max Rushden, but I can still think of a thousand things I'd rather do or listen to than that kind of radio.

The joy of that show was that it was never about particular games or incidents, but about being a fan. It helped that in those days you could write or email, and add detail or expand on a point. The trouble with Twitter is that by its very nature you're limited to "That referee was a disgrace!" or whatever fits into 140 characters.

DK said Jordan was on Monday with Boozil. :)

Heard that before and long before DK called Rafa a nonce. I disagree Lou, much as Baker and Kelly were great on 5Live and TR/TS and humour abounded, DK and Jordan is slightly different. Sport related but not sport punditry. Two intelligent fellas chatting the shit and not script obsessed, tangents wandered and Jordan offers something different from the ex-pro or DJ. Best show on the station, though now ended.

And as always, you know the best ever caller to B&K was Gordon and his bow tie: :prayer: :prayer:

Danny Kwelly sounded a bit jealous about that

DK has done a show with Boozil, doubt he wants to again. TS website says Pawa but we know how reliable that is.

As per many times, DK doesn't want getting up at stupid o'clock every day. Fuck JWOTS or more so the Sports Bar off and give him one of those.
