Good shout. I've only ever tasted tahini in hummus. Might have tasted it without knowing in Turkish/Greek cuisine which I love

As per the NFL thread, if making burgers, make a juicy Lucy burger: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jucy_Lucy

Prick whilst cooking to let the cheese steam out or just molten.
Maybe she's born with it, maybe it's Maybelline.

Im starting a thread on food so that posters can share information such as recipes and tips on where to acquire good ingredients and produce.

Im going to start it off with Hummus. Which supermarket sells the best hummus and is it easy to make?

Thanks

Unsure about supermarkets Bobby but in terms of restaurants, Leon (healthy fast food chain) sell the best I've tasted. Recommend.

My own, Bobby. I checked out Minneapolis food before I went there in November 2013 and saw it on 'Man vs Food'. I had intended to visit the two restuarants in the Mr Wiki link and video below, but it was fucking freezing and on foot and public transport and to my regret, bottled it. It was the start of the cold winter of 2013/14: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2013%E2%8 ... can_winter

So I make my own now and hope to return to Minneapolis someday to taste the originals:

Juicy Lucys are well worth the effort to make.
I made made one for my daughter years ago after watching that "Man vs Food' episode and it has been a staple in our house ever since.

You can actually but a Juicy Lucy maker from JML. Not that I have one, I have perfected doing it with my hands.

Bobby, there are no culinary skills needed and spaghetti bolognese is err harder. Simply make a burger how you like wiith whichever extras or condiments, and then make another. Put some cheese in the middle of one, slap on the other and seal and cook. And remember to prick when cooking. They are luscious.

May I offer a local delicacy from my hometown of Crewe,

Steak A La North

Steak, well done northern style (none of this rare or blue southern stuff) in a pan
Mashed Spuds
Mushy Peas
Thick Gravy.

Enjoy.

The best meal I ever cooked was Lemon Sole, grilled, with capers. Took less than 10 minutes. Fucking lovely.

I love my steaks medium well done and funny enough mashed potatoes, mushy peas, steak and gravy is one of my favourites. Never knew it was a kinda Crewe specialty

Carcinogen - I had lemon sole first time in my life around different 2010 though it was M&S breaded lemon sole - gorgeous!

How do you eat lemon sole?
