I'd have preferred Blackburn v Burnley to West Ham v Cheltenham on telly.

The most stupidest name of an already very devalued cup.

They may as well have just renamed it as the princess caraboo cup

Is it worse than the Irn Bru Cup? This trophy is for clubs outwith the top league up here and used to be called the Scottish Challenge Cup then with sponsorship (probably to the tune of about £10.50) it has been the B&Q Cup, Bell's Challenge Cup, Bell's Cup, Bell's Whisky Cup, ALBA Challenge Cup, Ramsdens Cup, Petrofac Cup and is now the Irn Bru Cup.

Not happy with just having the lower leagues playing for the trophy, the powers that be have now allowed the Premiership teams to enter their under-20s "Colt" teams and invited teams from Wales and Norn Iron to take part. So we could be faced with a national trophy being won by a team from another country.

My team, much to my embarrassment, is in this competition and won it last year. What was the Man of the Match prize? A big bottle of Irn Bru.

A bit like us in the League Cup (now the BetFred Cup) here.
Last game in the group stages we played Dundee at their ground. After 90 mins the game was a draw so each team gets one point but they now have a penalty shootout to give one team an extra point. We got that extra point meaning we topped the group and were seeded for the next round and Dundee were also in the next round but unseeded.

The way the draw turned out, both Dundee teams were the last two names in the pot but the way it was done meant unseeded Dundee were at home and seeded United were away again and the game was only nine days after the first one.
If we'd lost that extra point and were unseeded then we would have been the home team but the unseeded team that did lose the point got to be the home team.

It's fucking nuts.

Then we got knocked out by the Derry wankers.

What's a Carabao?

EDIT It's a Thai energy drink. Never seen it for sale in this country.
Though I imagine the sponsorship isn't really aimed at this country.

Very glad I haven't gone tonight. Manager doesn't seem remotely bothered judging by his selection of the least mobile strike force in football history. Liverpool should be several ahead.

I don't normally agree with booing but any fan has the right to show their disapproval at that barely-arsed shite.
