Liked that where Taphouse said "the Russian centre half as done well to keep up with Saurez, considering he's pushing 40". McCarthy quipped " Saurez is pushing 40 miles per hour".

The 5live commentators were at least in Russia not in a bunker near Waterloo Station in London!

What difference does it make where they are? It still comes out of your speakers exactly the same.

I don't know what your point is.
The BBC say if a radio commentary is off tube which is their prerogative (but they don't do the same with BBC TV comms as far as I'm aware) and commercial broadcasters - like talkSPORT, ITV, Sky, other commercial broadcasters around the world - don't.
I don't see the issue.
One organisation says "studio-based" and others don't.
Just one of them strange fetishes you have Doug when you're sat at your computer getting irate about stuff joe public don't really give a chuff about.
