It did have a "finality" to it but I havent seen that confirmed anywhere?

It's a show that I didn't mind watching even as the quality dipped from S1 because new episodes were so few and far between, but this last series was poorer again. Not for me anymore Beeky.

There is possibly going to be a fifth series. Heard befiore that this was going to be even more James Bond, so wasn't expecting a lot. As a standalone piece of television it wasn't that bad. As related to what this show has been, it was terrible. And more 'Saw' than James Bond.

But I still enjoyed it more than the previous two episodes, possibly knowing it wasn't and isn't ever going to be what it was. A Carlos 6.5/10. Will still watch any new series, but it really is Moffat and Gatiss playing games with the Holmes canon now and that does annoy.

Further pondering, more like 'Saw' meets 'Fort Boyard' with old Dirty Den and girl next door Melinda Messenger:

Image

But myriad plot problems, least of which how uninjured jumping through a first flloor. Some games were interesting, basically a different version of various ethics problems. But simple enough to resolve. Once Art Malik topped himself, and Sherlock saw one bullet left which Eurus said they would need. Obvious it was a shoot Watson or Mycroft. Simply fire the bullet into the floor, see what socalled Superbrain Eurus would have done then with her plan B.

And there's a lot more.

But we and every other forum has had this discussion on spoilers. Once it is live, there will be spoilers as people are watching. You don't want to know until you watch, don't read anything.

Seems the obvious consensus.

I had Sherlock on in the background and I could actually follow what was going on. It reminded me of 'The Prisoner', that 60s TV show...

Mark Gatiss is overrated, particularly as an actor. I thought he was great in The League of Gentleman, but other than that he ruins everything he appears in through his overly caricatured performances (which was why League was so great).

He was on Taboo the other night playing the Prince Regent. There's only one portrayal of the Prince Regent I recognise!!

Best review I've read so far, dissects the pretentious bollocks this show has become quite nicely.
