We have been trying to sign Williams for ages, but couldn't persuade him.

As for Bolasie - he is very hard-working, tracks back diligently. Attacking he can be devastating, but also wasteful. Very tricky but not always with an end product. However his threat is often enough to stress defenders, and teams often double-up, which affects their ability to counter-attack. He is also a very nice bloke and will probably fit in OK.

A stiff challenge for the GOG on Friday, attempting to repel the Autumn Offensive.

Indeed.

I am glad Bolasie is on our side for a change.....he always had a blinder against the GOT :)
Alex Young, Howard Kendall, Andy King, Timmy Cahill, Dixie Dean and Mike Parry.....we'll never see the likes of them again.

Clattenburg reffing.

Award the points to Everton now and spare us the formalities of playing the game.

Don't worry, we've been on the end of Clattenburg's "subjective" decisions plenty of times too.

I know he's shit in a lot of other games, but his record of absolutely outrageous match-costing decisions against Palace is so legendary that even the papers have picked up on it.

Some - Ghost, for example - might say it's his saving grace.

In fact, if Ghost reads this thread he probably WILL say it...

Reg, have you and Ol' Pet arranged a meet up down at the Palace in the return fixture? It's not that far from Bushey down there and I think that South Western Trains go all the way down to Selhurst from recollection when I worked in MK.

There is a longstanding open invitation for Ol' Pet at the Victory club, as he knows.

Going by the name then I guess 'the Victory Club' has no connection with Palace then?

One prerequiste of supporting Palace is a keen appreciation of irony.
