Great times ahead for these two great clubs.

In January 1922, the GOT lost 0-6 at home to the GOG in the FA Cup.
The next time they played each other was…
...in January 1931, when the GOG lost 0-6 at home to the GOT in the FA Cup.

Highly unusual for players to move from one to t'other. Whittle and Johnson, that's about it.
Apparently Bolasie is on the brink of heading GOTwards, though.
A very strange move, I must say.
Wouldn't have thought he was their sort of man at all, but Koeman seems keen to make it happen.

And rumour has it the GOG are taking our £13 million misfit, Omar Niasse, on loan

So what do you think about both moves, Pet?

I cannot believe we are forking out £25/30 million for Bolassie.......then again we picked City's pocket for double that dough for Stones.Reg wrote:Really? I hadn't heard about that.Petingo wrote:Reg wrote:Highly unusual for players to move from one to t'other. Whittle and Johnson, that's about it.

So talking about the price of a player is no longer worthwhile.....it is just barking
Regarding Bolassie......he always does well against us but he always seems pretty anonymous to me any time I watch Palace play anyone else.
As for Niasse.....heck knows what Martinez was thinking about forking out £13 million for a bloke whom has looked worse than useless
Palace would do well to swerve that boy and no mistake.

Re: The GOG and The GOT - sleeping giants awaken
All very odd. Especially as we paid £13m for Andros Townsend and sold Dwight Gayle for the same price
The player I was expecting Everton to go for is Scott Dann, but fingers crossed nothing seems be to be happening.

We are crying out for that old fashioned, no nonsense type of centre half.
But it is going to be Ashley Williams and some bloke from Sunderland, not Scott Dann
