Issued an apology 40 minutes later. Bizarre on many levels.

Oh for the days of Big Bob Ballard and a programme that was properly researched, varied and interesting.

England have played in the Rugby League world cup today, the Breeders cup meeting has just finished in California, the England team are playing the first game of the Ashes tour, turn on tS and it's some BORING CUNTS wibbling on about fucking Spurs.

Utter shite.

Yeah, but does sport really exist outside of the top six of the Premiership?

Indeed and some DJ as guest so lots of music and more to come. Big Bob and nice guy Russ wouldn't have it. Latchem ego-stroking badly.

Changed my view of Latchem - thought he was OK til last night but his 'straight to air' idea was atrocious (and obviously copied from far better broadcasters) and resulted in unfunny people ringing in just doing impressions, which was tedious. And wasn't straight to air - 'Jamie on line 2, you're straight to air'...

VERY poor.

Clicked off with the more music shite. Geoff is talking Championship now, but sticking with 'From Our Own Correspondent' on World Service, though yes a R4 show.

This tale from India is interesting: https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/ind ... 608108.cms

They still have to line the calls up, they just don't know what they are talking about, is my understanding and a radio skit done for decades and inevitably shite though sometimes a nugget get through which I presume is why stations still do it.

Heard some of his Friday show and it was painful. Surrounded by three non-entities who comprised the usual ex-footballer who wasn't that coherent, a loud Cockney shaaaattttiiiing for no apparent reason and a monotone "expert" droning on about something or other.

Even on this station, you can see why he and his crew are shoved into the graveyard shift.

The boy Latchem queer if he copied The Sports Bar unknown, unfettered callers.

Nah, Tom. A radio trope that is tired and used by the desperate to get excitement. Note the Stain, last minutes on Thursday morning. Fools and not good radio.* they didn't take half to air.

Great way to go. Not TS, just hump shite upon shite.

*The Stain doing this Thursday AM before the handover, said much of their audience. Dumb, Dumer and Dumbest. Great stuff Stain.
