Richard Keys' wife was quick off
the mark to clarify the story
that got out in the Sunday papers
last weekend about ol' Dicky boy
having it off with one of his
daughter's 27 year-old friends.

Behind the scenes, newspapers
were quick to drop the story too
as Richard decided to have our
good friends at Carter-Ruck send
out one of their famous mailshots
on his behalf, informing editors
that the inaccuracies in the
story were highly distressing
to their client.

Which is strange. We had always
got the impression that Richard
didn't mind being smeared.

Just found a copy of Friday's Sun in the work's canteen. Kelvin MacKenzie, much reviled by members here, has done a bit of a hatchet job on Keys about his poor wife's recent trauma and says that Keys basically "bullied" her into retracting the obvious adultery allegation to avoid a flogging and ends the piece with this :

Disgraceful bullying. If Keys doesn't like this article I would be grateful if he would sue me.
My first item of evidence would be a video that has been making its way round Fleet Street offices for years.

Hmm. I wonder what the content of that video might be? Its seems to have plopped down on nearly every editors desk for ages. One day the contents may be forced out into the public realm and the shit will hit the fan.
