Looks like Jeremy Corbyn whose political school of thought is of the hard left is the favourite to land the gig for the next Labour Party leader.
Very, very interesting development here. This is opening up rifts with the middle centrist candidates like Kendall who are bitching that activists are supporting him without seeing what his policies are. I'd actually like to see him in power, don't agree with his pro UNITE support and pretty sure that his arrival would herald a return to the days of Michael Foot which would further diminish support for Labour. But, he says it as it is and doesn't hide behind spin and is happy to be a c**t. Prefer him to Burnham and Balls' missus.

Re: Jeremy Corbyn
I'd prefer him to the Blairites and Brownites. Gave Guru-Murthy an utter pasting the other night so fair play to him.

Re: Jeremy Corbyn
It would be refreshing to see a conviction politician at the head of the labour party to widen that fag paper difference that currently separates the current hobson's choice.

Re: Jeremy Corbyn
If Labour elect Jeremy Corbyn it will quickly become apparent he's got no chance of winning or even gaining any ground over the Tories & there will be another leadership election before 2017. The boring truth is elections are won in the centre ground. If he wins & Labour are on 40% this time next year I'll happily eat my words.

I agree, and it suggests to me that there is a need to address the voting system rather than the one which inflicts the invariable totalitarian 'democracy' upon us that few feel is representative.

Re: Jeremy Corbyn
I've always been a supporter of PR. I even voted 'YES' in the AV referendum. But we have the voting system we have, not the one we'd like. Labour members/supporters are kidding themselves if they think Jeremy Corbyn can win swing voters from the Tories - And that's what they have to do.Roy Twing wrote:I agree, and it suggests to me that there is a need to address the voting system rather than the one which inflicts the invariable totalitarian 'democracy' upon us that few feel is representative.

A vote for Corbyn, is a vote for the Tories

Labour's implosion this year and the events of 7th May and after has been a delight to watch. The joy of seeing Corbyn elected would top everything.

MP's are failed actors. Sharks. Desperate souls, pleading for attention. MP's are nothing. They represent fuck all. Actor's with a hard-on for no reason.

Re: Jeremy Corbyn
The whole point of politics is to get into power and unfortunately in these superficial times, jezza is unelectable.
Nothing to do with his politics, but simply because he is old, grey, balding and has a beard.

Re: Jeremy Corbyn
Hope Corbyn wins. If the new Labour mob are basically saying anyone but Corbyn, then it's surely a good thing.
They'll shout that he's un-electable? What and Cooper, Kendall, and Burnham are PM material?
