Re: Holiday Thread
Go to the LD most years for at least a coupe of days. October is a bit risky for the weather though, but you could hit it lucky.

It looks a bit like Scotland from a quick gander on Google maps. Ryanair fly direct from Luton (or one of the 'London' airports).

Re: Holiday Thread
Depends when you want to go kev. Flights to Ponta Delgada in midweek November out of Glasgow is a reasonable £276 return. Problem is that there are two stops on the way out and a 22 hour journey/stopover and flying on Flybe and then AP. A mere 14.5 hours return again with two stops.
I'm sure there are other decent offers.

Crikey, Lawns, that's the mother of all journeys from Jockland. Probably easier flying direct with Ryanair from Stanstead - 4.5 hrs I think.
Need to re-assess. Maybe look at early next spring.

Yup, you can fly on Ryanairfrom Stansted flying out and back on a Saturday in October for only £160. You could ask to stay the night with sub if he hadn't moved to Hertfordshire.kevin04 wrote:Crikey, Lawns, that's the mother of all journeys from Jockland. sounded an excellent plan, Lawns. A few samplings of Sub's malt whisky collection followed by pro EU discussion would be a lovely evening possibly a trip into Essex to meet the cor blimeyskancutlawns wrote:Yup, you can fly on Ryanairfrom Stansted flying out and back on a Saturday in October for only £160.
