Bit left-field but maybe we should consider Greenwood as innocent until proven guilty?

Something isn’t quite right here. The trial date was set, statements had been prepared. The CPS should have a case for hearing the reasons why the trial collapsed. Very strange.

Carlos, you’re probably quite clued up on the matter of Greenwood as you’re good with legal matters. What’s your take on him being found innocent of all charges? No accountability for anyone, no explanation, no questions asked about why this fell apart when statements were taken and after months of investigation?

I heard it all fell apart when certain witnesses withdrew their evidence.

United can't sack him unless they consider his attempt at witness intimidation to be calculated and deliberate. Best thing would be to loan him to a team overseas then try to sell him 1-2 years on before his contract finishes.

The team have moved on without him so I can't see a way back.

United will probably rehabilitate him, introduce him back to the side to get some form and then sell him onto Everton. Don’t think Newcastle will touch him.

The CPS said: “A combination of the withdrawal of key witnesses and new material that came to light meant there was no longer a realistic prospect of conviction. In these circumstances, we are under a duty to stop the case.

Yup. So technically, Greenwood’s innocent according to English Law but he won’t be innocent in many people’s eyes as the trial collapsed. The video of the abuse he perpetrated will cast an indelible stain on his character.

If he plays, crowds all over the county will not let him forget what's happened. it won't be very pleasant for him.

Sorry, kancut, only just seen this, but has been answered by others. Not sure we'll ever find out exactly why wtneeses withdrew their support but can speculate.
Maybe she's born with it, maybe it's Maybelline.

Or trial by Man United. 'United’s internal investigation concluded he did not commit the alleged offences'. Judge, jury and executioner there.

And who gives a fuck what Rachel Riley says or think?

That’s the thing. We should only be interested in the verdict of a Court of Law.

+1 it's one thing to express an opinion but making videos about it dressed in a United shirt makes her think she's some kind of club PR spokesperson. She has no influence over fans so I don't know why she has to bang on and on, except to get followers and clicks presumably.
