I watched a bit of some Korean drama a few days ago. It's definitely something for young people and particularly women who are attracted to materialism and image. It's a bit of a genre really that appeals to a small demographic.

Some are actually true to life, such as My Mister and My Liberation Notes. I find dramas like these more relatable than our country's dramas like Happy Valley.

I didn't realise it was filmed in Yorkshire. If you liked that, you might enjoy Red Riding (2009), loosley based on true events. I loved it at the time. One for you, too, Lawns.
