Brighton's price was £100m, no messing about.

Liverpool had no need to add the extra £11m. FFP is the reason.

Yesterday Chelsea thought they had sold Kepa but they hadn't.

Brighton are still saying the only bid they have accepted is Liverpool's.

All this has about £30m added because of the silly money paid for Fernandez.

Kepa wants to go to Madrid in what is reported to be a likely loan, that's a £5m rather than £15m loan fee. That would mean they are £10m short but it looks like CFC are going to bid £115m and £50m or so for Lavia, what does The Echo have to say about that?

Certain sources say that Caicedo has always wanted to sign for Chelsea, and that terms were agreed a few weeks ago.
Lavia would prefer to sign for Liverpool (if we believe the consensus of comments on social media), so seems like you'll get the player you want and we'll get the one we want. If players don't really want to play for you, bit pointless making them do so.

That may well be the case but that isn't in dispute. Hillo declared with absolute certainty that Liverpool's bid was related to our FFP limits based on some tittle tattle he read in The Echo.

Considering the title of this thread was initially about how Chelsea can afford what they have under FFP, it's a surprise to me he/they now know exactly what we can or can't afford.

Perhaps but the window is still open and players on the books can still (I think) be sold to generate income to assist compliance if required. That's why the above and therefore according to you LFC's concrete offer made on that basis is impossible to believe or was impossibly naive.

They produced £55m last summer, Mount £50m , a few bits and pieces...
And they still claim to be getting Lavia, Olise...
Remember their revenues from other sources are not that great.

You need to get your head around depreciation of players and not having to balance the books...

£600m spent last year amortised over 8 years - £75m pa
£300m spent this year amortised over 5 years - £60m pa

Total = £135m of transfer loses pa

+ around £250m+ generated through sales with possibly more to come.

Therefore technically CFC are up this financial year £100m +, crazy huh?

Yes revenues will need to improve as that sort of spend isn't sustainable but it is manageable for the time being.
