Not a managerial appointment, not yet anyway but Mile Jedinak’s off to Spuds as assistant coach to Angie P. Could be in the hot seat by Christmas in any case. Good luck big man!

Steven Gerrard new manager of Saudi Pro League Al-Ettifaq. Taking filthy Sportswash moolah to give the Saudi regime some credibility and having an easy time. Still, the fraud’s out of sight and out of mind. Hardly likely to get the credentials now to get a job back in the Premier League so it’s all good.

Will make a nice change from yes men like Marsch and Gracia who were just grateful to have a job.

Obviously there will be far more pressure at Leeds than Norwich but Farke is a very sensible appointment and hands down better than the other names closely linked (Vieira, Gerrard, Parker and Corberan).

Cautiously optimistic with this. Top 2 should be the target no question.
