It's about as bizarre supporting Biden as it was supporting Trump. The USA are about as far up shit creek as we are.

He should have called Trump's deal the disaster it is.
As for his approval, as he has already ,for months, been at a level Trump never reached in four years , so I suspect he will recover.

The difference between Trump and Biden is under Biden you have a sense that the administration wants to govern the country, with Trump I always got the sense he was looking for the best 'win' for him - North Korea, Russia etc.

Biden clearly made the same judgement Trump did that ending the US presence in Afghanistan would be a win, however, he was utterly fucked by the Taliban and you can tell he doesn't have the political courage to risk US lives by extending their withdrawal period.

He knows once they are out it'll quickly be forgotten.
