Re: Eurovision 2024
I paid slightly more attention this year than I normally do, but that's not saying much. Had the telly on mute a lot of the time and glanced up occasionally.
My impressions:
1) I've said this before; it's not so much a song-contest now as a competition between set-designers, costume designers and choreographers. Hardly anyone just stands there and sings, like they did in the olden days.
2) A lot of the singers seem to have very thin quavery voices, including our chap.
3) All the warnings about flashing images ... why not just tell the lighting-people to stop doing it?
4) We get it, Rylan, you're gay. What do you want, a gold medal?

Re: Eurovision 2024
However good 1 is, if there is a 2, it'll never win. See Mae Muller last year for one whose vocals were awful, and rightly got dumped second to last. Olly Alexander's vocals ain't great, expect a right hand side finish.JimmyDee wrote: ↑Tue May 07, 2024 11:06 pm I paid slightly more attention this year than I normally do, but that's not saying much. Maybe she's born with it, maybe it's Maybelline.

Re: Eurovision 2024
I take it we're not taking part in #boycottEurovision.
Seemingly Israel's entry was booed during and after their dress rehearsal for tonight's show. Cries of Free Palestine! abounded, apparently.
Let's see what happens tonight.

Re: Eurovision 2024
Well I'm not. It's easy to do at the dress rehearsal and tonight as 14th out of 16. But you often get twats who want to make it about themselves and ruin it for others.
Maybe she's born with it, maybe it's Maybelline.

Don't mind Rylan, but Scott Mills gets on my nerves for some reason.
