A sad day for tennis fans everywhere. Another parent of a celebrity gawn.

Died on Friday: Young Tim was back doing his job on Sky Tennis yesterday.

And rightly or wrongly, Tony was a lot more known than Zoe Ball's mum: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/a ... ather.html
He never sought the spotlight yet, thanks to his unflinching stoicism and self-restraint – displayed each year at Wimbledon – became known to millions...

I’ve must he’s right up there in my top three Wimbledon spectators of all time. Only behind the Duchess of Kent and, of course, Sir Cliffs Richards.

If only the Tiger had defeated Goran in the 2001 semi, we may have seen a lone tear roll down the late Tony's cheek.

Always found it terribly ungallant that Goran took credit for that victory. It was the Great British weather what won it, iirc. No big serving Johnny Foreigner could’ve beaten our fearless Tiger Timmy that year.

Anyway, seems we’re veering off subject.

Tony Henman 🤔

Tony Deadman morelike. Howzat?!?

I remember having a sick day on the Monday to watch the final between Goran and Rafter and it was well worth it.

Agreed, Carlos. I think it's pretty much accepted that Zoe Ball's mum was not a celebrity

I remember in the 90s it was a bit boring with Sampras winning all the time. They slowed the courts down and that made it easier for base line players.

I met him at Wimbledon in 1997 when I was working as a security guard in between university terms. He was a complete cunt.
