Expect another yo yoing next season with Scotty on the scrapheap again. Let their fans jump up and down for a bit, they'll come back down to earth soon enough.Sadact7 wrote: ↑Tue May 03, 2022 9:10 pmChrist.Reg wrote: ↑Tue May 03, 2022 9:06 pmYes.

Seriously though. People talk about the top of the Premier League and Champions League basically being a closed shop, but the Championship is no better.subsub wrote: ↑Wed May 04, 2022 9:18 amSadact7 wrote: ↑Tue May 03, 2022 9:10 pmChrist.Reg wrote: ↑Tue May 03, 2022 9:06 pmYes.

You’ve a group of clubs whose raison d’être is to bob between the top two divisions. Happy to pocket the PL cash while in it, which then renders them uncompetitively wealthy when they get relegated to the Championship.
Fulham and Bournemouth will do the same again. Invest the bare minimum in terms of squad and infrastructure, eventually go down again and have the money to spend to easily piss promotion back up.
