Handed my notice in today.
Line manager went ballistic because I won't increase my notice period (it's been 1 month ever since I started) and said that I'm leaving him and the company "in the shit".
Bit late for that, matey...

I got the same 'in the shit' comment a couple of years ago after giving two months notice.
Ah well. We both survived.

He briefly mentioned increasing my notice period to three months about a year ago and did nothing about it, so I guess he was more annoyed with himself. Doesn't excuse him acting the twat, though...

Your manager shouldn't be moaning at anything. Sounds like you're doing him a big favour.

Hi, Pet.
Yep, next role already lined up, but I have two weeks off between jobs.
First week will be chilling, playing a bit of golf etc, then me and Mrs Subsub off to Devon for a week.
Cannot wait, and the perfect chance to relax before new job starts
