What a complete waste of time. It's got fuck all to do with anyone except those who are responsible for making up party rules. Moreover, if someone holds a position and has not resigned, then there is absolutely no reason why they should have to be nominated for that position. Why? because they are already fucking well in it.

The Tories/centre right are far more focused, cynical & pragmatic than the centre left in the UK.

The left in the UK is dominated by people who would rather have nothing than incremental change.

Jeremy Corbyn is a textbook example of that. Literally nobody genuinely thinks he has a chance of winning an election & changing anything.

The Tories would never accept that situation. They are ruthless whereas the centre-left think virtue signaling is good enough.
