Off to Portsmouth, ain't got a clue what pubs or restaurants to go in.
Any recommendations?
If your ever in Brum and fancy a libation and some snap try the British Oak, pershore road, Stirchley.

Fealtys Bar, High Street, Bangor. Except on Saturday mornings and afternoons when I'm there. One of only 13 bars on earth that Guinness have awarded old style Guinness pumps to for pouring. If you like that black swill, that is.
Also the Bangla curry house on Upper Main Street. Been awarded the Best Curry House in the UK award this year and well worth the award.

Ah OK. I know Pershore Road about as far as the Shell Petrol Station just past the turn for Edgbaston Cricket Ground and Tally Ho. Used to go up to Stirchley some years back.

Old Portsmouth has some good pubs and restaurants. Recommend down by the quay, there are a few pubs there. Haven't been there for a while, but the Still and West is a good one. The Coal Exchange, I think it now might be called Spice Island also. Short walk also to Gunwharf Quays where the Spinnaker Tower is, recommend Carluccio's for eating, but there are loads more there as well.

It's ok in there mate, bit pricey but keeps the mouth breathers out, owned by the same bloke who's got the Prince in Moseley lots of good guest beers.
