+1. Love the lakes, though if forced, slightly prefer the Peaks and Leader has had advice there.
Maybe she's born with it, maybe it's Maybelline.

Thanks for the tips. The peaks are lovely, I prefer the southern end, dovedale and bakewell. Less tiring then the lakes

+2, Leader. Onya for posting your snaps.

All being well, I'll be in Europe for Christmas and you've given me some ideas on making it a different trip for Mrs Cheddar because I think she's done with the pubs of Dublin, Birmingham, Coventry and Leicester ;)

Have to do a two week family ting in aforementioned locations, Lawns, as the old dear has been unwell, but have chopped the usual ten days on return in SE Asia for some culture. Mrs C is from Positano, so will be in Italy for a few days along with Vienna. Leader got me thinking about making the most of our time in beautiful England. Open to suggestions mate.

I did Scaffell last year, - it was a challenging trek - particularly getting back down again I thought.
I did Carrantoohil earlier this year (to complete the 4 highest peaks in each country) and I must say, of the 4 Carrantoohil was by far the hardest.
