You didn't enjoy that but you think The Two Mikes are funny?

That is 'oh dear'.

Thanks for posting this! Wonderful 3 hours of radio.

Iain if you happen to read this, fascinating show. Please get Danny on again soon. :smt023

It was brilliant. It did not matter one jot that a lot of the people they were talking about were unknown to me - the passion, the reverence, the aplomb with the delivery was magnificent. I can listen to anyone talking about something they love - the detail is in the nuance, not the content. This is how you become more learned - emersion of information. A lost art.

Trust me, it was even better if you knew and shared a love for those people/those writers/those musicians.

I think that actually made it better. I kind of know who Joe Strummer is, but the reverence he was given made me find out more. A brilliant show.

Those who want to listen to regurgitated nonsense can enjoy their Two Mikes, Jim Shite.

I can't stand Allen or Hartley-Fartley.

Ha ha I listen to Steve for about half an hour most mornings when I'm getting ready for work, but he does seem like a terrible person.

Ah, so Paul from Liverpool (who is always arguing with Iain) is Paul Rimmer. He was a prominent figure in the English Democrats until being excluded recently. I seem to remember someone thinking he sounded like Paul Nuttall.

Been listening to Iain again lately after a good while, and I'm finding the show a lot better. The constant depression talk was...well depressing.

There have been a number of new callers recently and that has helped freshen things up.

Some interesting characters alright :-k

Anyway, good alternative to the Colonel

Hearing a bit of James Whale here and there as well (though if I listen to anything between 7 to 10 in the summer it's Off the Ball on Newstalk). Miles beyond anything on TS at that time

He doesn't like the Gays, which is ironic seeing as he's a rimmer

That did cross my mind too. :) I think when someone quotes religious tomes, they deserve ridicule; and that's exactly what he gets. Shame as he can be quite interesting when talking about music etc.

Full of praise for Sparks and the new album tonight, he has impeccable taste.
