The beeb don't do much off tube stuff but because they're public service broadcasters they would generally mention it. They don't NEED to mention it but they're an easy target from nutjobs who like to find things to complain about. However, they do sometimes use material from commentators not on-site (generally it would be highlights) and don't reference the fact. This happened from time to time on their EFL highlights show for example.
I've done world feeds for TV and radio on Premier League, Champions League, Europa League, FA Cup etc (usually from studios in London) and it's never referenced where the commentary is based. Lots of comms around the world are done from studios, often in different countries to the match itself. I really don't get why the handful of oddballs have an issue with it but the clue is probably in the word 'oddball'.
