Current trailer for this weekend's action with "live at the ground commentary" between Spurs and Bournmouth and then the "Black Country derby" between Wolves and Villa. Villa isn't in the Black Country, cretins. A David Coverdale soundalike doing the trailer which is utter pigshit.

Neither is Redcar, which is where Coverdale is from.

But unless it involves being comped and whisked first class to a luxury box freebie, then TS is as bad as Candleface Redknapp in their 'anyfink above Cheshunt is 'ere be dragons industrial wasteland, innit' attitude.

To make this shit even worse, the trailer says that Coverdale is from Leeds.

The beeb don't do much off tube stuff but because they're public service broadcasters they would generally mention it. They don't NEED to mention it but they're an easy target from nutjobs who like to find things to complain about. However, they do sometimes use material from commentators not on-site (generally it would be highlights) and don't reference the fact. This happened from time to time on their EFL highlights show for example.

I've done world feeds for TV and radio on Premier League, Champions League, Europa League, FA Cup etc (usually from studios in London) and it's never referenced where the commentary is based. Lots of comms around the world are done from studios, often in different countries to the match itself. I really don't get why the handful of oddballs have an issue with it but the clue is probably in the word 'oddball'.
