US Open Golf

Post by theleader82 »

Exciting first day watching woods and Dustin Johnson play together . A good first round from Ian poulter one off the lead. Rory shot 10 over par and struggled in the wind.

Not usually into the golf, but I still play Links (old golf game on the PC) and Shinnecock is a great course. It'll be fun to see it in 'real life' ... although I doubt the BBC have highlights. The cunts.

It’s interesting seeing players struggling in the wind . The us players aren’t as used to tough conditions as the Europeans. It’s being played on Long Island though so cooler and blustery

Mickelson running after his own putt and hitting it before it rolled off the green.

Cheating cunt, should have been instantly disqualified

Playing badly, clearly frustrated with the course and the set up and the frustration got to him as a putt slipped by.He chased it and knocked it back as it was still moving. It's a 2 stroke penalty for hitting a moving ball, that's usually a stationery ball moving as the player is addressing it, wind catching it, rolls off a divot etc. His was cheating by in effect hitting the ball yards and yards from where it would have otherwise would have stopped.

Two shot penalty for a 10. Yeah the ball wouls have gone further down.

But bad form even if way down. Let them get away with this shit, it ain't good. Should be a DQ in fairness.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen him run... by the looks of it, might have been his first time

Phil should of been shown a red card. If that was some nobody then he would of been.
USPGA were gutless.

Tough old day out there.

Well yes it was disgraceful and he should be punished etc etc but ...
like Cantona's kung-fu kick it WAS funny, and they've all wanted to do it at some point :-)
