One gripe though is Steve Cram.

What the fuck is he doing commentating on Curling when he knows so little about it.

Typical broadcasters, feeling that they have to explain everything nowadays. Curling is like ski-jumping; anyone of average intelligence can work it out for themselves after about five minutes.
I watched S Korea vs Sweden (women) the other night, blessedly without any commentary. Blimey, it must be the noisiest sport ever proportionate to the physical activity involved. I'd have loved a translation in subtitles
