However I can tell you after Suarez left Sturridge got his bumper contract reputed to be 150k a week .This was at the beginning of season 2013/14
Since then Danny has been injured for 557 days and missed 105 games.
Funnily before his new contract in the glory season 2012/13 after joining in January 2013
missed only one game and was injured for eleven days

Injuries have ranged from
hip injury, calf injury.hamstring injury, groin strain, sprained ankle and the very last one before he went on loan to WBA.Out for 51 days, injury unknown and 7 weeks @150k just over a million thank you very much :!:

We can all use google, Derek.

Yes we can to get the facts which tell you this guy has a problem getting his head straight to do what he is overpaid to do.

Or he just gets injured a lot, like some players just do.

Yeah, that'll be it.

How can you possibly know that? What a load of shite.

That's my opinion and it's not the first time it has been suggested that the bulk of his injuries are in the guy's head.

Yes, it is your opinion, and an utterly irrational one given that I presume you've never even met the guy.

A lot of people have similar thoughts, have a look at your forum

A lot of loons have similar thought to yours, on all kinds of subjects.

Have YOU had an “injury in your head”?

So what is your understanding of why the guy rarely plays with minimal injuries.

His recovery period on strains etc is excessive which tells you the guy thinks he is still injured when he is physically fit to play. That is the problem.

Because some “minimal” injuries can be played through, and others can’t.

Minimal injuries should not be ignored. Feeling a slight pull, can result in a tear if you play on, which then puts you out for weeks. You can understand players who have had a lot of injuries being cautious before declaring themselves fit.

I still go with the following test for injuries below the waist, and that is after some warm up exercises, if you can hop on one leg for 30 secs and feel no pain, you are usually OK to go.

Not if it’s the other leg that’s injured. :(

Played the same trick at Citteh and Chelski and I slagged him off there as well !!

Not on here you didn't. He played for City from 2006-2009. You came here in 2011.

I don't ever recall you slagging him off while he was a Chelsea player. Or while he was playing for Bolton.

Was on 606 with Robert .
If you care to put in Sturridge on search you will see me referring to his absenteeism at both clubs a few times.
Good hunting :)

No thanks. I'll take your word for it.
