But they're trained well enough to make the home fans sit down ..I've even seen the little Hitlers pull up home fans who are going for a half-time pie, after 40 mins.

The little Hitlers know they can do it to home fans. If they disagree, they risk losing season tickets/future entry so are basically a captive seating audience.

Away fans are different and though there's always some SAS wannabe who will say sit down, they won't do anything major. Maybe take out a few being right cunts.

Norwich away 2015, was back row on the seats next to home fans. A few plod and stewards, they were all good natured and all stood. Norwich fans, a couple of feet the other side all sitting. Nuff said. And many others.

I don't go anymore but when I did I hated it if people stood around me.
Seats are for sitting on :)

I agree, i loved standing on the North Bank terrace when i was a kid. Once Arsenal made that end all seating and put executive boxes over the Clock End, it killed the atmosphere at Highbury.

Can't they send their valets for them instead?

But the seats themselves aren't the problem - some of the best atmospheres I've experienced at Palace were in the seating era when the crowd was half the size that it used to be.

For me, it's about compact grounds where you are close to the pitch, and the biggest you can do this properly is around 45,000 (assuming you have to include boxes).
Indeed Reg.

It is many a long year since I have heard Goodison as noisy as it was the night we played Arsenal just before Christmas.

And again yesterday versus Citeh.

We have to hope the designers of The Liverpool Stadium take on board the lessons from likes of United, Arsenal, Hammers or Middlesboro and don't build a soulless dome.
Alex Young, Howard Kendall, Andy King, Timmy Cahill, Dixie Dean and Mike Parry.....we'll never see the likes of them again.
