I was about to draw that exact comparison, but you got there ahead of me.

The difference is that Foxy's trial was held in Britain, judged on the basis of what a reasonable person might infer, whereas in the US it's "Brits are the Baddies" and we'll pretend to believe that calling a Brit a paedo is "banter".
