Despite the best efforts of the bigoted Scottish government, hmrc and the sfa the Gers are back.

No doubt they will be thinking up new punishments to try and destroy us but we will keep on fighting!

A fan of the self appointed quintessential British club calling Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs bigoted!!.

I thought it was the same for everyone - pay your tax.

The title of this thread is incorrect. Rangers FC are no more. The thread should now be called The Official talkTheRangers (in Division 3) thread

Del, can you pinpoint when it all went wrong for Scottish football or is it too opaque?

Rangers made it a more attractive league by involving Souness who brought the likes of
Woods Butcher Roberts Hateley Wilkins etc to Scotland,
Second phase saw Gascoigne Laudrup Van Bronkhurst Albertz and the like.
While that was going on TV money flourished and Scottish football did as well at home
and abroad,
Sky however ploughed much more money into the EPL and when TV negotiation time came
around the SPL accepted a deal from the ill fated Setanta and basically bombed Sky out.
Setanta go bust the SPL goes back cap in hand to Sky who slash the TV money.

No more big names they all leave ,rubbish foreigners pollute the league and its
a downward spiral to where we are today.

And you wonder why I prefer to support United

Wasn't meant as a dig. Just wondered how it was perceived over the border.

Meanwhile The Beggers will have 4 years of Champions League money in the region of £40 million behide them when we get back into the top league. :(
In between this the thrashings aff them when we meet them in the Cup games.
