Heard a bloke on LBC having a right rant about the current issues of the day. Only thing was, this was at about 6.30am. I wonder what sort of state he was in by 11am?
I know what you mean, though.
I call my nan almost every day (she doesn’t have the Internet) and it's like going back in time. She's a dear old soul. She's rarely angry or upset, but I wish she wouldn't read so much of the Daily Mail and the Express: "They're all, what's that thing... woke. What is "woke"? Are you woke?"

I didn't mention its readers, I pointed out what the paper itself had printed.
Seems you've jumped the gun rather...

Re: Britain is broken
There are several posters on here, I know because I speak to them, who are sick and tired of being goaded, insulted, and ridiculed because they link to certain sources and because they have certain views. There is seldom any comment about source content, just an obsession about the backup link
They join in discussion but because of their views and links all they get is shite usually from the same poster. Moreover, when they react their posts are either deleted or moved and sometimes they are banned, whilst the shitstirrer in chief carries on his campaign to get posters banned and gets off scott free and his goading posts remain.
Enough is enough. It's time to get this sorted once and for all.
We have just nearly lost a good poster, and we are already thin on the ground. We don't need to lose any more.

Yes, they may well do.
But it's the paper that's responsible for this stuff, not its readers.

And , yet time and time again , you refer to the readers of the DM as xenophobes , racist bigots etc .subsub wrote: ↑Wed Mar 15, 2023 12:08 pmYes, they may well do.

Re: Britain is broken
As I have pointed out before, the reason people quote the Mail so often is because they don't put it behind a paywall, so it's easy to use the Mail to prove it's a real story, and not just Twitter nonsense that doesn't actually exist most of the time.

Indeed, very often the same story can be found in other newspapers, but try posting a link from the Telegraph and you are stymied, but because the link is from the DM you are insulted, but don't you find it strange that those who insult other posters seem to be allowed to do so at will, yet if some other posters have the temerity to pick them up on it and return the compliment they are deemed to be out of order and told to disist.

I think there may be a few other examples. People will use wildly exaggerated claims from one or two newspapers to make a point, no skin off my nose. It's a free country just about, a bit of ridicule should be OK, Shirley. Have we become too precious a nation and unable to laugh at ourselves? It didn't use to be like this. People used to be able to get the piss taken out of themselves and give it back. We're just a nation of snowflakes now. Sad days.

I treat this forum like I treat football. Support your own team and don't worry about the opposition.
All views are equally valid, even the ones that disagree with what I post, and there's no need to get involved in pointless "but he started it!" squabbles with a bunch of people all determined to have "the last word".
Olympian distain, dear Birdie ... brush them aside, as though they were matchsticks. Don't give them the argument they so desperately crave.

Don't do that Jimmy, treat is like RU, knock the shit of the opposing team but when the ref blows the final whistle shake hands with everyone and even give the bloke who kicked you in the balls in the scrum a hug, (apart from Joe Marler of course, in which case kick his balls in the tunnel out of sight of the ref)JimmyDee wrote: ↑Wed Mar 15, 2023 1:13 pmI treat this forum like I treat football.
