Don’t worry about an inept display. The Ukrainian fans are happy. What a dreadful take by these non presenters.

Fuck off.

Every, and I mean EVERY time you look for England to go for the throat, you’ve got this friendship bracelet fucking middle-manager on the sidelines sucking all the aggressive intent out of them. That’s when he’s not busy simping to the players from the big clubs.

I noticed James Maddison is suddenly worthy of a start now he’s gone to Tottenham, despite all his excellent work in a Leicester shirt.

Talk all you want about how he trusts Maguire. Would be interesting to see how much he trusted him if he were a Sheffield United rather than Manchester United player.

And does anybody seriously believe Conor Gallagher would be anywhere near the team if he wasn’t at Chelsea? Even Conor Gallagher’s mum probably wouldn’t pick him for her England squad.

The players from clubs further down the food chain have to play out of their skin to get so much of a sniff of a call up. Meanwhile these turds continue to get invited to Christian youth group leader Gareth’s fucking football field trips. Kalvin Phillips…are you shitting me you arsewipe? What a foul dull cunt he is.

Also the Ukrainian fans can fuck off. Yes, you got invaded and it’s a bit shit. But don’t suddenly think you’re anybody’s second team other than a few right on bellends and some show off telly presenters. Bunch of fucking Tesco Value Russians is all you are.

Anyone who gets upset about this England during recent qualifiers, really needs to give their head a wobble.

+1. They've easily qualified, club players have barely got into there stride in terms of fitness or form and Ukraine are no mugs.

@ S7

How about all those players picked from Brighton, Palace, Everton & Newcastle?...there will always be a "big club" bias because there is, as they mostly play at the highest level by having the best players.

Pickford is one of those unarguable exceptions where form for the national team far exceeds his club form and you don't just drop players over one poor performance (Madison?). Btw Madison has been in and around the England set up for years but always blew hot n cold at Leicester, has always been (or was) a rat-faced trouble making cnut.

It's not a language folks like to hear because it is seen as a weak simpering approach but including the likes of Phillips and now Gallagher (neither played btw) is not about form or club size but keeping them as viable options by making them feel or still feel part of the group. Phillips was in the past playing for Leeds and Gallagher maybe one for the future.

Why do we have to accept mediocrity?

Southgate is just an FA political puppet (who had an appalling managerial CV), tactically inept and blinkered.

Southgate alone cost us the Euros. Never forget that.

He’s adventurous as the missionary position, and a massive cunt to boot.

Exactly. The hatred is just weird, when you think that Southgate has taken England to a World Cup semi and a Euro final - how many other England managers have done that over the past 30 years? Nobody gave England a cat in hell's chance at the 2018 World Cup.

And they were right, they came 4th.

Sadders makes some excellent points about Maddison, Maguire and Gallagher.

Southgate the John Major of football management.

His view of Maddison is just bizarre. He ignored him when he was statistically one of the best players in the league for over a year then selects him when his form dipped towards the end of last season.

The fact Gallagher has double the caps says it all. Some players will always be there if they get in at the right time.

England have had "world class" coaches before nor do they have a god given right to win a tournament.

Pep, arguably one of the world's best coaches with the best players to hand and it still took him another 12 or so years to win another Champions league, that is the national tournament equivalent of 24 years.

Who would you have instead?

Southgate was the logical choice. In charge of the u-21 team. As they progressed so did he. The next person to take over should really be Lee Carsley. But because he isn’t the BIG name, fans would be in uproar.
