There was no need to use the audience member's skin colour as a point of reference. It never is used for anyone of white colour and isn't needed for someone of black colour, as did happen in this case.

This oversight was rightly atoned for. The ones who keep banging the drum against this need to have their motives questioned.

Using a person's skin colour to single them out from a crowd isn't an appropriate thing to do. Especially when there may be other people of the same kind colour within said crowd.
