Getting through four games in six days is the better news. Also four matches in the clay swing leading up to Roland Garros.

And as you say, Carlos, indicative of the posts from certain forumers who want her to fail but don't have the balls to say why.
Let's have some answers to a couple of questions, otherwise it's just goading.
1. Which forum members want her to fail, and provide back up
2. Why do they want her to fail, and who doesn't have the balls to say so.
It's exactly the same situation as it was with Lewis Hamilton. You just drop this shite in a thread and then run away like the little fanny that you are.
Man up and back up this innuendo bollocks.

Re: Raducanu
Świątek wins 7-6, 6-3 in just over 2hrs. A highly credible performance by Raducanu against the world number 1 and a sixth game in seven days.
We'll see Monday what her rating does up to and this week already makes the Spectator article look a bit out of date.

She should focus on modelling and getting pregnant by her millionaire boyfriend. Tennis just isn't her thing. Deal with it Carlos.

Re: Raducanu
So she beat the world number 31 easily yesterday and closely lost to the world number 1 today in something that isn't her thing. Right, carc.carcinogen wrote: ↑Fri Apr 19, 2024 7:28 pmShe should focus on modelling and getting pregnant by her millionaire boyfriend. Tennis just isn't her thing. Deal with it Carlos.
Plenty of time for Mr Agostinelli and babies later.

Re: Raducanu
Another thing, her last tournament before surgery was this one last April. That means fron now she has no ranking points to defend so all the points she gains will help her ranking go up.subsub wrote: ↑Fri Apr 19, 2024 8:04 pmCarlos J wrote: ↑Fri Apr 19, 2024 6:35 pm Świątek wins 7-6, 6-3 in just over 2hrs. Re: Raducanu
On rankings:
In the 'live' ranking based on the 12-month rolling accumulation of points (ones added this week minus those falling off from this week last year), while this shows her at 302, this number will go up quite a bit to 221 when it re-sets officially (Monday, I think), based on the points gained in Stuttgart (with none falling off the back end).
In the 'Race' rankings, the ones based on the calendar year-to-date, she is now at 82.
Protected ranking (PR) - the ranking she has been awarded to compensate for being off with injury - this is 103 and that can be used to gain entry into tournaments. She is in the alternates list for direct entry into the French Open sitting currently as the ninth player who can be 'next in' should others fall out of the main draw (completed this week) if they get injured from here until the qualifying event begins.
That FO main draw has 128 players in it but includes room for 16 qualifiers and 8 wild cards and also other PR players ahead of Emma who have claimed their place and there are quite a few of those meaning that she is back down the alternates list.

Re: Raducanu
Women’s tennis is pretty open now the Williams sisters have more or less retired. Perhaps it will go back to a more skill and precision based, rather than power

Re: Raducanu
It's very open now. Apart from Świątek who has four grand slams, there are I think, 10 one slam wonders still playing Some are power and aggression players, some aren't.
Maybe she's born with it, maybe it's Maybelline.
