I would tend to agree sub, except it really is a choice. no one should be made to pay their respects. it should be of their own free will.

There's a lot of poppy fascists about these days.

Remember, they died for our freedom, not so you can dictate to others.

True, it's only a small gesture. Ironically the men he wishes to snub, fought and died to ensure he lives under the cosy blanket of freedom, which provides him the freedom of expression with which he chooses to snub their memory.

Nothing wrong with not wearing a poppy, it shouldn't be forced on anybody.

However, I have to take issue with somebody pointedly refusing to wear one to make a statement. There are better ways to do so

The Lefties invented the White Poppy when they accidentally spilt some Soya /Yoghurt/Tofu or some other muesli
hippie-type muck that they called food on a a red poppy.
We are overdue the annual discussion on the White Poppy. How about a Black Poppy next to it, so it doesn't offend
ethnics at the same time.

Could have something to do with not wanting to commemorate the UK government soldiers who mercilessly shot 14 unarmed men on the streets where he spend his childhood and grew up. Maybe that would make you think about it too.

Anyone demanding he wears one is a genuine Nazi, which is very ironic in the circumstance.

Surely this down to personal choice. If you don't want to wear a fucking poppy, then you shouldn't be abused for that choice.
